For their support of the Personal Branding Resume Engine, Toyota of Cool Springs has been recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes program as an employer actively working to recruit active-duty service members, veterans, and military spouses. Toyota Scion of Cool Springs promotes the concept of hiring veterans and military spouses within the business community.
What is Hiring Our Heroes?
Hiring Our Heroes is a nationwide initiative of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses find meaningful employment. Working with a vast network of state and local chambers and other strategic partners from the public, private and nonprofit sectors, Hiring Our Heroes has helped hundreds of thousands of veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment through more than 880 job fairs in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and Europe; a suite of free online career-based resources; and the Hiring 500,000 Heroes campaign.
One goal of Hiring Our Heroes is to improve the awareness among U.S. companies of the importance of hiring our veterans. Businesses have realized how valuable these veterans are to their companies and have started hiring. Veterans offer many valuable qualities and skills which they gained in their military training that can be beneficial to the company hiring them.
